Being a great leader give me a lot of hard work and can be very strenuous for the soul. Many times he requires more than 60 hours per week worth of work. However our mission is that we believe your work should be extremely meaningful and you should be happy to wake up every single day and get to building something your kids will be using. The 21st-century is an amazing time to live in because technology is moving more rapidly now than ever. Any industry can be totally disrupted by someone who is good and someone who is creative. Computers laptops smart phones tablets etc. are all going to having massive impact on society.

Dwight W. Decker, Ph.D.*
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Dwight W. Decker served as Conexant’s chairman and chief executive officer from the time of the company’s spin-off from Rockwell International in January 1999 through February 27, 2004, when the merger with GlobespanVirata was completed. At that time, he became chairman of the board of the combined company, returning to the position of CEO in November 2004. Decker joined Rockwell International in 1989. Prior to the Conexant spin-off from Rockwell, Decker was senior vice president of Rockwell and president of Rockwell Semiconductor Systems. Before joining Rockwell, he was director of modem engineering for Telebit Corporation in Mountain View, Calif. Previously, he was an assistant professor of mathematics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from McGill University and his doctorate in applied mathematics from the California Institute of Technology.
J. Scott Blouin*
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Scott Blouin joined Conexant in January 2001 and has more than 26 years of financial management experience within the semiconductor industry. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer for Conexant. Before that, he served as chief financial officer following the spin-off of Mindspeed. Prior to joining Conexant, he spent five years with Burr-Brown Corporation, first as corporate controller and most recently as chief financial officer. Blouin also spent 17 years with Analog Devices, Inc., where he held a number of senior financial positions including director of finance for the company’s worldwide manufacturing organization. Blouin received his master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
Scott L. Allen
Senior Vice President, Communications
Scott Allen was appointed senior vice president of Communications in June 2003. He joined Conexant as executive director of public relations in February 2000 and became vice president of Communications in February 2001. Prior to joining Conexant, he was employed by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). During his 16 years with AMD, he held positions of increasing responsibility culminating in his most recent assignment as director of worldwide public relations. Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Jose State University.
Lewis C. Brewster*
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Lewis Brewster was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer in November 2004, the same position he held prior to the merger of Conexant and GlobespanVirata. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of Sales, Operations and Quality. Before joining Conexant, Brewster held various executive positions within Rockwell Semiconductor Systems including executive director of Americas Sales, and director of Strategic Sales and Operations. He received a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering from Duke University.
Dennis E. O’Reilly*
Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer
Dennis O’Reilly is the senior vice president, chief legal officer and secretary for Conexant. Prior to joining the company in January 1999, he served as director of business development for Intel Corporation’s Mobile and Handheld Products Group. Before that, he held the position of group counsel for Intel Corporation. O’Reilly received a juris doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Michael Vishny
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mike Vishny joined Conexant in January 2002 as senior vice president of Human Resources. His previous experience includes serving as human resources vice president and chief human resources officer for U.S. Robotics Corporation, and as vice president of human resources and internal communications for Gateway Computer Corporation’s business division. He also served as the Asia-Pacific regional director of human resources for S.C. Johnson Company, and spent six years in various senior management positions with Dun & Bradstreet Corporation/The A.C. Nielsen Company. Vishny earned a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
